Please turn off your cellphones, grab a box of Scooby Snacks, and climb into the Mystery Machine, gang.

For our 23rd commentary, we cast a spell on you and take you back to 1999 for this classic animated adventure starring Frank Welker, Tim Curry, Mary Kay Bergman, B.J. Ward, Scott Innes, & Jennifer Hale as a more mature version of the Mystery Incorporated gang and friends.

We dive deep into our love of various forms of animation, examining the works of Aardman, the differences in styles of stop motion and our preferences, talk some memes making the rounds, and then realize this is supposed to be a commentary.

Enjoy this jam packed episode as we join Doom’s childhood, already in progress.

Scooby-Doo And Guess Who? Set To Debut

Variety reports that the next Scooby-Doo series is set to premiere on Boomerang sometime in 2019!

And, as previously speculated and confirmed by Grey Griffin, it will indeed be a sort of reboot of The New Scooby-Doo Movies with each episode featuring guest stars.

The Variety piece reads: “Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?”: In the series from Warner Bros. Animation, the Mystery Inc. gang faces some of their toughest mysteries yet. To crack the cases, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo will join forces with some of the biggest names in celebrity and pop culture — including NBA star Chris Paul; recording artists Halsey and Sia; Ricky Gervais, Kenan Thompson, Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Mark Hamill, and Steve Urkel (voiced by Jaleel White, reprising his iconic role), as well as characters like Wonder Woman, Batman, Sherlock Holmes, and The Flash. Chris Bailey (“Kim Possible”) serves as producer with Sam Register (“Teen Titans Go!”) as executive producer.

Personally, I’m super excited for this!
I just hope they pick a good style for the models and animation.
A couple of those guest stars are a bit surpising though (Ricky Gervais? Urkel?), but it does fit into the Scooby Movies/Team-Up vibe, so I’m not worried.
Let us know what you think in the comments!

For our 12th commentary, we head back to 1 month ago in 2018 for Scooby-Doo & Batman: The Brave And The Bold starring Frank Welker, Grey Griffin, Deidrich Bader, and Tara Strong.

They gush about how great this movie and both franchises are, debt callers for people that changed their numbers long ago, miscolored dog members, talking chimps, and backyard BBQs.

Sit back and enjoy the lovefest, gang, this is a good one.

TNB Commentaries 010.5: A Scooby-Doo Christmas

maxresdefault.jpgPlease turn off your cellphones and join Doom & Fitz as they climb BACK into the mystery machine to uphold ANOTHER long standing tradition!

For our 10.5th commentary, we head to the year 2002 to watch the What’s New Scooby-Doo? Christmas special starring Frank Welker, Mindy Cohn, Casey Kasem, Grey Griffin, & a slew of big name guest stars.

They talk about a local man helping the homeless who is constantly being shut down, their next Bandcamp album, why Superman is so honorable & his relationship with Pa Kent, and eventually they get around to talking about a cartoon dog or something like that.

Before the wrap up, they do a year end wrap as well.

Big things are coming for this show and the others, so stay tuned and thanks for the support this year, gang!
